That's what I consider a good setup (even though it's 325), but at $18,150 it's still $300 over book value.

I still keep looking at that car. Talk him down a bit more and it's a great ride for the money.

I keep trying to convince my wife that we should sell the accord and buy this, but she has no interest in doing so.

The fact that it's out of warranty is a bit of a dinger. Just in time for expensive shit to start breaking or wearing out.

Also, It's almost as "stripper" as you can get. It doesn't even have metallic paint (cripes!). Book value is right around $18K, depending on the actual condition, so in IMO he'd have to come down a few grand for it to be worth considering. And then you'd have to keep it forever, because not many people want a 325i optioned that way. Good luck trying to unload it.

If he came down to $15.5K, I might consider it. I mean, I'll bet he only paid $27K for it 4 years ago.

Like an M3 convertible with a stick, or even a ZHP with no leather, it's a difficult car to sell. There is a very specific set of people who would be interested in that car, but that group of people is not large. I think you are right about price--in order to get the "average" BMW intender interested, he is going to have price very low.

If Improved Touring didn't specifically ban wagons for some reason, I'd actually have picked one.
