This car has been stored inside, repainted 10 yrs ago Glasurit Arctic Blue met (original color) Seats recovered then also. Solid, dependable car for an old fiver. I will be out from 7/13 to 7/20 so may have to wait for reply. Thanks

Clean car.....
$5,000 might be pushing a bit, but... You never know....

(I almost bought one 'way back when' but got the 2002 instead....)

$5000 is definitely pushing it. This isn't a collectible car, but it's in excellent condition and is low on miles.

(I'd pay maybe $3000. )

Yea, why would anyone buy this over an E28 533i or 535is?

Both are newer and better looking...

Looks are relative. I actually like the E12. Then again - I drive a 2002.

Mechanically - The E12 is a much simpler car than the E28. But - both are very much on par in my book now ( back when I was looking at the E12, the E28's were new...... hehe - Time has changed the economics of things over the last ~20 years.... )

Thought about following up on some leads on those cars before deciding an E34 was a safer bet. Would be a fun project, though.
