Yeah - I know...
Too many oars in the water - and working on the new house has kept us from really moving in - so we needed to keep things where they were. That is now closing out and we are able to get moving again. But will still be a little while for getting out of the old place. But we can pick that tempo up now.

Well - To bring up the latest (on my situation) -
I received 'the call' this afternoon. If we have another round of layoffs (for August WARN, Oct layoff) - I am on the bubble. It was suggested that I get my resume in order and start looking around. There are opportunities that may be available - but I may have to move. OKC, STL, Los Angeles... Who knows - with everything going the way it is now - working virtual might be available and I stay in Washington (with occasional trips to 'home base' - so to speak). Will see how this pans out. To tell you the truth.... If it comes to that - I may just retire. I like what I do - Very much so. I'm not sure I have the energy to start over in a new area of the company. Stay tuned... Will know more in about a month... Yeah - 32 years doesn't get you much if your job relies on sales when nobody is buying.

Do you want to stay in Washington, or do you have a hankering to go elsewhere? Does your wife work? |
