It is a big car.
I went from the Boxster to the S. Took a while to get used to the extra acreage behind me

I'm pleasantly surprised.
There were rumors of a huge batch of Dual Motors being produced in the last week or so. The VIN is about 7k lower than others that have been assigned, so it's plausible it was in that batch. I'm glad it was produced earlier in the quarter. Just too many horror stories of Tesla rushing production to meet end of quarter deliveries -- and people having quality issues. Evidence is anecdotal, but a lot of the problems reported just after delivery on both the S and X are cars delivered in the last week or so of a quarter...

This is what my blue 3 will look like with 18's once the stupid wheel covers are removed. I still don't love them, but they're not terrible, and they're nice and light. The covers supposedly add 10% to your range, so I'll keep them around in case I want them for long trips.
I'm undecided whether I will upgrade to 19's and use the stock 18's for winter. But the car will be delivered in fall so I can make that decision in the spring. What I do know is that the handling on the all seasons was pretty mushy and unsatisfying. This has me worried about winter tires. I'm thinking of sticking with all seasons on the Tesla through winter for a semi-sporty ride and put snows on the truck for bad storms. |

Yeah, I agree. I was never excited about huge wheels wrapped in rubber bands.
But I might have to try them with performance tires before deciding. The turn in with all-seasons was shit. |

Are you sure it's the tires? Have you driven a 3 with good tires? Because that was one of my biggest turn-offs after driving a Model S... super unresponsive to steering inputs, very numb, and completely lacking in any driving enjoyment. I thought the 3 was supposed to largely fix that.
