I know I shouldn't ask, but did she not realize it was happening? How do you not stop before moving on to the next panel?

For people that think cars are just another appliance, the Camry (and all its derivatives and competitors) fit the bill. And Toyota has figured this out very well -- which is why they sell multiple types of Camry, just under different names -- you want a quasi-SUV, you get the Highlander Camry. You want a quasi-station wagon, you get the Venza Camry. You want a minivan, you get the Sienna Camry. You want a bigger Camry, you get the Avalon Camry. You want a more luxurious Camry, you get the Lexus ES Camry. You want a luxury SUV, you get the Lexus RX Camry... For those of us the car about how a car looks, drives, feels, interior design, etc -- we seek out products that differentiate themselves. And we usually are willing to pay more for them. We see the extra ~$200-$300 per month as improving our quality of life.

Hit and run on a walking / biking trail by a driver in a 2005 Toyota. Could it have been... a Camry?

I can't find any info on whether it's a Camry, but I did run across this vile and horrifying spew of racist garbage, which may also have targeted the wrong woman as having been involved in the incident:
http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/fo...2/1206220.html Clicky at your own risk. I hate people. Having said that, there is a pic in that thread of the intersection where she may have entered the trail, and it is...well, I suppose if you were drunk, it might be confusing. |

Noticed something else... Gas gauge was still above full after putting 68 miles on it...

It is stuck on the "F" mark for the first 100 miles or so, then it sorta plummets to the "E" mark rather quickly.

My past several cars have been like that too... MCS, E92 and F30. Not exactly 100 miles, but I can drive for quite a while after a fill-up before the gas gauge starts moving.

There is probably some sort of psychology behind designing fuel gauges that do that.
In a rental car, though, it's kind of nice, since you can drive all over the place and still bring it back "full." |
