I passed an NSX on the way home the other night... I did have the thought of "I should get one of those some day..."

The design has aged very well -- in fact, I think I like it better now than when it first came out.

I did a quick ebay search and only 11 cars came up.

Oh and when did they put an AUTO in those things???? There was a 2003 for $71,000 that was an auto and I was like WTF is the point in that.

Very nice cars but I still think pricy for what they are.

The problem with the NSX is that it's basically an old/finicky version of the Boxster.

It has an amidship layout, but other than that, V6, aluminum body/frame, Honda reliability.....:dunno:

Too bad the NSX is heavier than the Boxster.

It's still amazing looking to my eye. The handling quirkiness can be fixed. I've never driven a stock one, but I can imagine that on a racetrack (not an autocross course) they're amazing.

I drove one way back in 1990 when it first came out. What I recall was it felt a lot like my then 1987 Accord, except you sat lower.

It was kind of a snooze, actually.

With parts/labor cost and availability problems (and from what I've heard, it isn't THAT reliable), awkward gearing, and not very much power, I just couldn't see paying what people ask for those things. It was a hell of a car in 1990, but I don't really see the appeal outside of uniqueness today.

there is another one for sale (with warrenty) at an Acura dealer down near Plaz that has Zinardi springs installed (but I really like the red)
