Convertible owners - Shin Etsu grease is great stuff!

This stuff has all but silenced the rubber-on-rubber squeaking that was happening due to convertible top seals rubbing against one another in cold weather. It's meant to lubricate and condition rubber parts, so it can be used on all sorts of auto-body gaskets like door seals. Good stuff! I never realized how much squeaking was going on just from the seals. Sh!t be quiet now...

Is that the equivalent of the old BMW Gummipflege (sp?) I used that on my E36 and was simply amazed at the difference in noise.

Yes, it's basically the same stuff as Gummipflege which is NLA.

Hey John,

Thanks for the tip.

Is it available through hardware stores?

(on a side note, it's really nice here today, I think I'm going to put the top down one last time).
