BMW iDrive Screen Mod

So I own a 2006 BMW 530i, and I've been shopping around for a kit that will add video inputs to the dashboard screen, for both a backup cam and playing dvds/video ipod, etc. (I've also considered a night vision front cam). I've checked around on some other forums, and seen people recommend:

http://www.navtv.com/product/41/bmw56-can.html
for $650

I also found the same thing (they buy from the same supplier) at:
http://www.tvandnav2go.com/bmw-tv-navigation.html for $400.

Any BMW owners tried either of these? Or perhaps there's someone with another/better suggestion?

Thanks

P.S. I'm new to these boards, so hello =)

welcome, thought it would be nice to play a DVD using I-drive, I think the latest gen does play DVD's. Those retrofit are too expensive for me.
