Not at all surprised as the next generation of the 3 will be an EV. The Dee concept is allegedly a look into the next 3-Series.

Next-gen M3 will be an EV?

Putting aside all the AI voice assistant nonsense with that concept I actually think it’s an improvement in terms of design direction for bmw. You can clearly see classic 80s bmw design cues. And as for the next m3 being an EV that seems inevitable. Will be interesting to see what if anything bmw has learned by watching Porsches success by continuing to offer NA engines with manuals in their pricier cars. But at this point it woukd probably be cost prohibitive for them to offer something like that and it’d end up with Porsche level price tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Will this new M3 have the traditional 3-pedal setup ?? If not, not interested.
Will this new M3 be lighter (for some reason, I doubt it) ?? If not, not interested. Will this new M3 have that intoxicating exhaust note at full song ?? If not, not interested. Even IF this new M3 is quicker off the line than a ICE M3, I wouldn't give a damn. Still not a huge fan of EV cars, especially if it's a high-performance car. Guess I'm an "old-school" driver who's still stuck in old technology ....

Used normal cars are cratering. New cars have a little breathing room. This is much less applicable to high end or otherwise specifically desirable cars.

Unfortunately it seems there are fewer and fewer of these types of cars each year. You have a smattering of affordable enthusiast cars like the BRZ and Supra and then you have Porsche. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

EU market is interesting. Company cars drive what is offered — and ~70% of new orders are already electrified (includes hybrids, but those are an interim step for the next 3-4 years only). The entire market will look like Norway soon — which has 80 % of new cars as BEV for 2022. BMW is just planning for the market… Edit - just saw some state for Germany. New passenger vehicle sales in Dec’22 are over 55% electrified, with 33% of new cars being BEV. BMW is skating to the market for the next M3…
