I like it minus the PDK.
That yellow doesn’t seem $13k better then the standard yellow to me

PDK is the answer. No question.

It is just subjective about how involved you want to be in the driving experience.

I definitely understand why Porsche doesn't offer the MT on RS models.

It's hard for me to imagine not wanting to shift gears myself, so I want to say I'd want a GT3 with a MT, but not having driven a GT3, maybe I'd feel differently.

I can tell you that I loved the MT in the 997TT 99.9% of the time, but for fun hard accelerations from a stop, I could see the appeal of a perfect, lightning-fast 1-2 shift.

Meh.

If all of the 992 GT3s have PTS and mine doesn’t, did I really help myself long term?

So while I want German Racing White, it’s gonna be some unique color. It goes to the value proposition ultimately however flawed the logic is, it is the way this system is working at the moment.

Here’s the alternative — no allocation.

oh wow...didn't realize PTS had become quasi mandatory. I could swear I heard or read that Porsche was cancelling a bunch of PTS orders due to not being able to source some of the materials for the paint... so maybe they'd be happy to build one in white now.

Found this thread (but haven't really read it)

I know this is ridiculous and it’s a false dichotomy. But then the market will fracture between the PTS cars and the non PTS cars.

And whether or not you care about that is personal.

PTS is fully booked for 2023 so any other orders are “standard” colors. Where the word “standard” implies that you’d be a lesser form of human.

For 2024 MY cars it’s on the table again.

FWIW, my preferences are all rate limiting so I don’t know if it will actually happen. I do want PCCBs, the LWBs and a PTS option.
