I guess I'm in a different place with my Alfa.
I'm good with the transmission, and *gasp* I don't miss a MT. I've adjusted to the brakes, and can drive the car smoothly. Aftermarket exhaust makes it sound great, at least to my ear. So I'm good. Alex

That's where I am with the 8-speed auto M240 convertible. Good fun and good function 8/10s of the time.

The floppy paddles work great for me if I want to have more fun. Really, while I wouldn't say this is better than a MT, I'd say I'm not missing the MT at all.

When I finally give up manual trans I will have to have a big V8 to make up for it.
C63 maybe. Who knows.

I have to say I've never really gotten into the flappy paddles. But, I also don't drive much these days since I work from home. I mostly just zip around in Sport, since that mode more closely mimics the RPM shifts I used to do with a manual car.
