Mercedes 600s

Splitting this off from the other thread, because holy hell there is some crazy shit at this website:

Do you want a Mercedes 600 El Camino, designed by the original car's designer? Why the hell not?

There's another one, in case someone buys the first before you get to it:

Supercharged 600?

Plus other random Mercedes stuff:

Absolutely no appeal whatsoever, honestly.

Me neither. I vastly prefer either car in its original form.

None of those interest me at all.

Something like this kind of does, though:

http://www.detroitspeed.com/projects...e-69-pg-1.html

The styling of a classic ponycar with modern suspension, tires, wheels, steering, brakes and powertrain.

I'd actually love a real 600 or a 190SL. I just have absolutely no interest in the seriously hacked up cars. And I can think of very few more uninspiring drives than a rebodied SL.

At a quick glance, kinda reminds me of a late 80's 2 door Chrysler Lebaron

When I become an international man of mystery, I'll have a 600 to squire me around town.

I'll take one of these for when I want a long, existential drive in the country.

And a 300 SL Gullwing for when I want to do track days.
