It’s a momentum car

The Renault Twizy, one of the few rental options for tourists on Bermuda.

It is terrible. It’s from a time (2012 was its biggest year of production) when this is what people thought made sense in EVs—“urban mobility.” It is dog slow, has very little range, and almost nothing in the way of storage. It seats two, grudgingly, but the enclosed body makes it hotter than hell. Max speed seems to be about 70 kph, if you have a death wish. Range is 60 km, maybe.

There’s no hvac or stereo or anything.

It’s nice in one way, in that it doesn’t take up much space—but still more than a bike or scooter. OTOH, I guess the lack of road rash is a good trade off.
