400Z

What say ye?

I'm not a fan of all of the styling elements, but it looks (to me) a hell of a lot better than the abomination that is the new Supra. And I'm glad there is another manual-gearbox sports coupe coming out.

Given it's a Nissan there will probably be one or more major flaws that make the overall package really unappealing

Looking at other pics of it, that is by FAR the most flattering angle and lighting I've seen for that car

I'm a little concerned that the platform is largely an evolution of the existing one. I mean, that platform was really great in the 2004 G35, but...

yeah I guess nice that they are making it and even offering a manual. Doubt they will sell any.

I looked at the previous gen but never excited enough to put up with only 2 seat.s

I (and probably many others) share your concern. The 370Z kind of reminded me of the Hyundai Genesis where the specs look fantastic on paper but the driving experience disappointed.

This is still just a concept, but one has to think it's pretty close to production-ready at this point. I wonder if it will hold any relevance in the market - it's likely to be marketed as a cheaper alternative to the Supra. The Supra at least seems to have a pretty stellar engine, transmission and chassis.

I've seen that general side profile often enough in other 2-seat sports/sporty cars that it doesn't do much for me anymore. Not saying it's ugly. Just "yeah, that's OK I guess".

I mean it's very, very similar to the 370Z and 350Z.

I like it better, but yes, it's not different. I think I prefer the old 300ZX to all of these, actually, but it's a reasonably clean design.
