From 991.2 TTS, any impressions were limited. Wish I had time to sample 2018 GTS with a manual. But just never enough time. And also feel badly about using someone else’s time if I’m not super serious about the particular car.
I wonder if the speedster will follow a similar pattern as the 911R -> GT3 touring did where they release a high priced low volume speciality model as a test before releasing a more mainstream version in the next gen of car. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 992 speedster variant crop up at some point...

That is pretty insightful. It retains the value of the 991 version. But then creates a whole new Uber category of Franken911 for high end buyers which is just repurposing parts (high high high margins)

Have you seen the prices for the 992 Turbos?

276,000 to 320,000 which reflects scarcity but still.

The car is not 2-3 times more expensive in labor or parts than a standard 992.

Did the T offer a back seat option? Guessing maybe yes if you did not order the LWB

Think one of the guys pointed out that the GTS is usually the sweet spot for non-egregious price gouging and excellent resale value.

I’d never get the 911 T in lieu of the GTS because the extra power is nice, but so aren’t all of the standard options on a GTS.

I am so not a 911 T fanboi. Paying more for something with the base engine highlights my skepticism that less power in a fat lardass modern 911 is ever a good thing.
