LeMay Car Museum Grand Opening - June 2nd

It looks like the LeMay Car Museum is having their grand opening June 2nd for any who are interested (though I realize this is a bigger deal for local 'Mudgeons. . . . ). The museum is located in Tacoma, WA which is about 30 minutes south of Seattle.

LeMay started out as a garbage hauler ages ago. But after he bought his first car he never sold it. Over the years as his garbage haulling business prospered, Mr. Lemay kept buying cars . . . but not getting rid of them.

It was a number of years ago (10? 15?) that someone realized the man had collected on his own close to 3,500 cars, most in good condition. In the intervening years this LeMay collection has turned into the centerpiece of an auto museum that his survivng family and friends have tried to put togther. The cars LeMay bought over the years are said to be a national-scale car museum in terms of the quality and breadth of collection

And the official museum is opening in a few days.

Just sharing the news.

So, when are we all going?

I can fit 4 comfortably in the Malibu, 5 a little less comfortable.

Kevin's suburban holds what? 11??
