When I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max in October, I did the 24 month payment plan because 0%, so why not? I refinanced my house in December last year and I wound up closing a day later than I would have without that loan. The inquiry showed on the lender’s last minute credit check and not the one when I initially applied for the loan and they wanted a wet signed explanation.

Ugh. Hadn't thought of that. Can't imagine it would be too much of a big deal--especially since a qual letter is kind of bogus anyway. But PITA.

There was a lot of discussion in the comments about the ability to extend Volvo's CPO for 10yr/10k for under $3000. But it would still scare me.

No kidding.

I think there has to be a new paradigm for this early electric tech. Basically subsidized leases and some sort of maintenance support.

Maybe that will happen once the government incentives go away.

That is very cool. A tad small for my needs, but would have been perfect before giant teenager and two dogs.

One dog, perhaps, and a baby.

It's great that they're doing this.

I am totally stuck.

I can’t help thinking that the delta between a Mazda CX-5 and an X3 is multiple fun trips abroad (when such things can occur again.)

I have friends in England, Scotland, France, I’d love to go see. And, of course, DC and NY...

Decisions, decisions.

Another twist is that the Carbon Edition CX-5 only comes in the Grand Touring version, which seems to lose front parking sensors and a few other features I’d like to have. My garage is tight with a hot water heater in it, as well as some storage racks, etc. I would not want to forgo that front sensor set.

Grand Touring Reserve has a full feature list. Still about 20k savings versus X3...

I guess I’ll see what December deals look like...

Which one is likely to "spark joy"? Aren't you keeping a fun car anyway, just get a CUV to do the job I say. Is this the new turbo mazda, has the engine been tested? I'd be gravitating towards that. Is it lighter? Is it cheaper to service?

Fauci expects the world to normalize by 2021 Q3-Q4, no masks, more travel etc... We'll see.
