No way that car would pass inspection

It would in NJ, as long as the OBDII reported OK. Inspectors are specifically not allowed to consider other factors. Long story, with 40+ years of MVC (what we call our DMV) scandals.

Is there a car with a more comical front/rear caliper imbalance?

That aspect might be but damn that is one beautiful truck ... one of the very few SUV’s I would ever say that about.

Wow, we differ... The whole thing... whatever it is... is super ugly.

I can't tell any crossover apart from any other. I think that was my fundamental problem with being in the Macan turbo. I dislike the external form factor; not the interior; not for functionality - though it wasn't quite long enough inside, but the image it presents. I'm that shallow. It is literally what everybody else has, a fancier rav4/cr-v/you name it. Somehow I minded it less with the 3-box X5 and even less with the JGC diesel (many people have those too). I guess I'm really not into blobby CUV's. I hope never to have one.
