JST--Do you still have your M double spoke 68s?
What's the condition and what $$ would you be looking to get for them?

I do. I haven't looked at them in 2 years, but IIRC the condition is decent but not perfect, with some rash on at least a couple of them. Not sure what the going rate is for these--does $400 for the set sound right?

Seems about the going rate (some cheaper on e46fanatics/some the same). Do they have tires on them?

That would be great. Thanks.
Edit: Also confirming they are 17"? Found an earlier thread where you called them 18", but I don't think that size exists in a style 68. Last edited by wdc330i; 02-14-2011 at 06:05 PM. |

Oh--no. I am not up on the style numbers, but now that you mention it I remember that the 68Ms were the 17" wheels that shipped on 328/330 SP cars and were a snow tire fitment for the E46 M3. Sorry, these are the 18" OEM M3 wheels (can't recall the style number). Pics are below; they are in a bit rougher shape than I remembered. The joys of on-street parking.

Thanks, JST.
I'll need to defer to our local experts about whether I'd gain enough advantage for rural roads/gravel driveways in downsizing just an inch in diameter. I was thinking about stepping all the way down from my current 19s/summer tires to 17/all-season (something like the Michelin Pilot A/S Plus)--to gain more thickness in rubber and a knobby tire. Thoughts? |

My snows are 17" - I can say that it's A LOT more rubber than the 19's.
I imagine the 17's would be better, but would it be enough to offer a real advantage over the 18" for your use? |
