Highly collectible. Hagerty values these at 35.5K
Only if it sells for anything near that!

How much of a money pit could it be if it just sits, melting into my driveway like the non-running Jaguar and non-running Miata? Not to mention the previous non-running Corvette (that I apparently still own despite not knowing where the hell it is)?

But who cares? I need to buy this:

Neat that the original order sheet shows LSD as an option and that the car was picked up via ED. I don't recall if my '84 had that LSD option. But even if it did I wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway. It was a true stripper and didn't even have a sunroof. 1st LT's income only went so far.

Fuel pump, I think. Went out in late August and I haven't gotten to dealing with it.

I like the Fuchs wheels.

The 944 has always been one of *the* cars for me that I'll probably never own.

Growing up I always had a jones for the 914, and then later the 924 turbo. I'm glad I waited for the 944, but then at times I wish I had waited a little longer for the 944 turbo, then even later for the 968. But I was better able to be poor in '84 when I was single than in '90 when I was married. It's easier for one person to live in a car than two.

Maybe your driveway is the real issue? is it just a place cars go to die? Don't mention this to your listing realtor!

People tell me multiple times a day how great it would be if I did, so I figure they must know what they're talking about!

By the time I was paying attention, 914s were known as problem cars (rust if nothing else), the 924s as ha-ha-you-idiot-cars and the 944 was wow. And then the Turbo. The 968 was kinda yawn even if it was better in every way.
