G07 LCI - 2024 X7 M60i

My brother took delivery of his second V8 X7 earlier this afternoon. It rolled off the line on the 18th and arrived at the local dealer five days later. He requested no detail to avoid the free swirls and his preference for local detailing and Xpel install strongly advised him to not let the dealership detail department touch it. Given this thing rolled off the line 8 days ago the interior was pretty nasty from assembly.

This is the one that he originally spec’ed in Skyscraper Grey and later changed to Marina Bay Blue and then he decided he wanted to go individual paint with Stratus Grey. He had to verbally give this build up. The car arrived on the 23rd and it had not been sold to another customer and there is now allegedly ordering holds on the executive package, the cold climate package, and the sapphire crystal DRLs. He was also informed it could take up to November to get the one with the individual paint so with all of that he decided to just follow through.

Quick observation the S68 exhaust is considerably quieter than his former ‘21 N63TU M50i.

Cool color. Is it me, or are those unbelievably low profile tires for an SUV?

Not my car… no reason to be sorry as I totally agree.

I’ve warmed up to the look of these. Beautiful color on this one. I definitely wouldn’t spec the 23” wheels though.

Looks good, I never knew X7’s could cost that much, 126k is a lot of money, I remember 3 years ago considering the X7 when we got our Q7, I don’t remember them costing that much.

You probably were looking at the 6 cylinder? BMW has a pretty healthy price premium for the V8 SUVs over the I6. Also prices have gone up a good bit over past 2-3 years after Covid supply chain issues & inflation.

It really is a staggering amount of money. You could get some really fun cars for that…

BINGO! My exact sentiments.

Here is one and Dravit Grey that had just been serviced. It had the individual interior that is very light gray with navy bolsters.

The 23” wheels appear to be popular at least here as I have seen several equipped with them.
