I have had two. A 2007 SR5 4WD that I loved and a 2014 Limited AWD that I absolutely despised. I sold the ‘14 just under 3 years with 21k miles. Lost $5k.

Not sure if losing 5k on a 4runner is considered good or bad. I periodically read or hear these breathless, near mythical stories of how 4runners retain their value "I heard that a 15 year old 4runner with 200k is still worth $20k!" ,etc...

For most cars 5k is pretty good, for a 4Runner probably considered a bad outcome

Paid $40k for it new, drove it for three years and put 21k miles on it. One cannot lease a decent vehicle for 3 years for $5k.

While it was for sale and being test driven it was also involved in a police pursuit accident. Teenagers fleeing from the police. It was immediately sold after $8k worth of repair.

I saw the G05 LCI M sport in person today. It is okay… I did not fall in love with it nor feel the need to get rid of my 2017 for one. In typical LCI fashion the side profile is unchanged.

To me, the front-end looks worse but i guess in a darker color (like carbon black) it wouldn't be noticeable. Tail lights are a bit more modern looking but not that big a change. Moot point since it doesn't seem like anyone here plans to buy one anytime soon...

I do wish BMW would find a way to better integrate the radar sensor for the adaptive cruise control. On most other cars you can barely tell its there now...

Thats a tough picture to look at. The silver grill on the X5 breaks up the sea of blackness on the LCI. To me that one looks better than the white one in the previous post. Ours has the silver surround with the black slats. That is probably the way to go with the LCI as well.
The X7 looks ridiculous in the picture, but honestly in person I don't think the split headlights are egregious. In dark colors I like the LCI better than the original.

Think this picture highlights one of the weaker specs on both of these cars in my opinion:

I think the X5 LCI is fine but don’t like all of the black on bottom half of front bumper, looks especially weird here with the green paint and chrome grille. This weirdness goes away on a a darker color. I also personally love the look and contrast of white with the black accents but know I might be minority there.

The X7 needs M sport - enough said there.
