oh wow- didn't know any cars still had aerials! Also found that the Miata has both a shark fin AND an aerial. Very bizarre...

I bet the radio reception will be better than most other new cars as a result.

Thanks all.

I didn’t notice the aerial on the Miata when I drove it — but it sticks out in the pics. It is really weird that it also had both an aerial and a shark fin…. The last car we had with an aerial was my wife’s Countryman. She took it off and just left it off with no noticeable drop in reception…

I’ll probably go ahead and order the holster and stubby and wait on most of the other stuff.

Update…. Mazda’s site has an in-transit status. The one I have a deposit on had been bouncing between an expected delivery in 2-3 weeks and 3-4 weeks (and was still showing this as of Saturday).

But it now shows 1-2 weeks. That should mean it’s here by Memorial Day!

Still not here.

Dealership is tracking, but I believe the car was damaged during shipping. It was actually at the port in mid April, left the port in mid-May, but has no ETA. I think it's at a body shop waiting parts.

I'm waiting until next week -- there is an identical one at another dealer a couple hours away, and 2 others with different exterior colors (both I'd be OK with) that I will see if they can swap for. Just waiting until early next week to pull that trigger.
