I still favor BatterMinder's.....
They are available on Amazon and Northern Tool. Their current model I would get is the 1500 (works on flooded as well as AGM batteries). I have several of their units and have had decent luck keeping the batteries going on my various cars/boat/mowers/generators... and such.

I have a bunch of this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00068XCQU
It has interchangeable clip leads and ring terminals, with a quick disconnect between each of those and the charger. Normally I permanently attach the ring terminals and keep the free end of that cable some place accessible. I can always use the clip leads somewhere else if needed, just by un-doing the quick disconnect from the car leads. It is also a passable (1.25A) charger when needed, though I have a 6A one (that isn't a tender) for batteries that need a lot of charging. |

Terri's point is probably the most important one. Get a quick disconnect so you can hard wire the one end to the battery and leave the quick connect terminal easily accesbile in the trunk. I think any decent CTEK, Battery Tender or NOCO unit will do the job well. The trick will be ease of connect/disconnect for you so you keep it hooked up.

It started up in the afternoon with no issue after I drove it around a bit in the am. It had been sitting before that for a couple of weeks. The weather is warming up down here, so driving it will be no sacrifice. But the tender may come in handy for my lawn mower (or the Mazda through the summer!) |
