It does look great. One of the best eras for the X5, IMO.

I must be a glutton for punishment, cause here are all three of my out of warranty BMWs. Somehow they haven't bankrupted me yet.

Thanks! Here are some recent pics of the interior. Yes, I have intentionally left the passenger’s airbag tag intact.

Good for you. I aspire to keep a recent car longer than 7 years. Nine years is my all-time record, but it’s been years since then (Honda Accord Hatchback from the mid-80s). Recent record is 7 for our 2009 X5; 5 for my 2017 240i (would have kept it as a second car for sure, were I still doing two cars.).

Edit: Crazy that I remember when you bought it, and it doesn’t seem that long ago…Tempus Fugit.

That Shark Blue is just stunning. Love it.

Edit: How hard would it be to get Arlington to do two curb cuts and let you install a semi-circular, pervious-surface driveway? Somehow my mother managed to accomplish at least one curb cut on 16th Street (I think other public works were being done on the street at the time and she was, um, a persuasive person.)

Newly installed brass expansion tank....

Am working on getting down to SF to drive it (for a couple of days). Should be in a couple of weeks....
Then give the car back to them to finalize everything and button things up and then come down and take it north.

That is interesting, I didn't realize JST doesn't have a driveway, I just thought he didn't have a garage.

All of our vehicles run. Not sure how I feel about that.
