I think it's pretty safe to assume that I'll go to my grave without having the experience of driving the iconic 911.
Oh well. That's what I get for partying too much in college ....

I can assure you there are many thousands of people who partied harder than you who have driven 911s

That quote kinda makes me feel a little better, with the emphasis on "kinda".
Still, I would really like to be behind the wheel of 911 GT3 R, with no a/c, sunroof, sound system or other similar, needless accoutrements. A pure track car. Curious to know what car would be YOUR unicorn ??

When I was in my teens it was the newest mid-engined, V8 Ferrari. In my 20's it was a Euro E36 M3 or a 3rd gen RX-7 (I still want one of each ). Through my 30's it was what the RX-8 ended up being. Now? Maybe a Cayman GT4 RS? I've been largely underwhelmed by the 911s I've been. The 997.1 GT3 was great, but still flawed. Maybe the .2 car would have fixed that - I've never driven one. |

How about a trip to LA or Atlanta for a drive at the Porsche Experience Center? Much cheaper than buying one for sure!

In the last few years of the 991.2, 33% of 911s produced were GT3s
It is true.
