just to help guide the input here --what are your feelings (you and M) about the 128 or 135i? just curious what feedback you have on that (while on this topic).

that written, do we feel like Mazda will not release the next gen Mspeed 3 soon?

I really do think the 1er is hideous. It also doesn't come in a hatchback (in the states). Having sat in a 1er, the interior is also not nearly up to the quality it should be given the price of the car. They may drive fantastically, but it's not for us.

I think your wife is a car girl at heart. It's the only way to create such an impossible to meet set of criteria.

Chalk me down as another vote for the ST even though it doesn't have an LSD and the wacky interior. The single tone leather of the ST3 makes it marginally better than the multi color seats in the ST2 cars. The base cars with base seats and less intimidating display stack are even less boy racer arcadey, but then you can't have HID, etc.

Mileage isn't great in them either, but they're cheap and pretty bulletproof.

If she'd like a test drive in an older one, let me know. Might want to wait for me to get new tires (next week, I hope) so I can take off the snows, though.

I just took the snows off of the MS3 tonight. I did the Boxster last night, and it reminded me this morning that I had all winter to change out the one bad TPMS sensor and failed to :argh:

Thanks for the offer, we need to have you guys up anyway, so that could work.

Does the GTI still have that nasty DBW throttle lag?

I may also soon have some parts to install on the Focus, too, that I could probably use some supervision...or heckling.

I'm pretty sensitive to that kind of thing and I didn't notice it in the '15 I drove recently.
