I emailed customersupport@tesla.com

It took them two to three weeks to reply to my email.

I’d take the $5k back. You’d never spend that much supercharging,

I figured if I Supercharger my 3 as much as I did the S, I’d spend 1200-1500. And I supercharged around 20k miles worth...

+1. It's also a hilarious way to run a company, responding to bloggers and reviewers.

Also, I was one of those that advised Matt to get the performance bells and whistles. So 20% commish?

Elon Musk on missing Model 3 production deadlines: 'I've never made a mass-produced car. How am I supposed to know with precision when it’s going to get done?

I can't help but like this guy.

I hadn't heard anything on my car since they started work, so I called the body shop today.

They found a bit more damage inside -- not unexpected, and ordered additional parts. All but one have arrived (a reinforcement plate that goes behind the door latch) -- its on back order, and will be in stock at Tesla on Dec 31. Then another 5 days for shipping to the body shop. With New Year's and weekends, the body shop won't be able to continue work until the week of Jan 7. And there's still 2 weeks of work to do to reassemble and paint.

So the earliest I'll get the car back is the week of Jan 21. That's 4 months since the accident, and nearly 2 months since work started.

Ugh.
