The elephant in the room for F87 CS owners is assuming the car industry will revert back to "normal" by the time the G87 CS is launched, what effect will it have on the value of the F87 CS.

Current prices can be found in excess of well over $100k for low mileage specimens, but that is just a function of the industry spinning out of control due to market and lack of supply factors.

I want to see what happens to their resale prices under normal conditions, having to compete head-to-head with its replacement probably touting over 500hp by the time it is scheduled to come to market.

Profuse apologies for leading you astray. Sean is correct in that it is Fire orange. I made the dumb mistake of associating it with the Lime Rock Edition E92. But I like the title Lime Rock orange better than Fire orange so I think BMW goofed up and mislabeled that color.

From the G87 sub-forum over at G42 Bimmerpost. Credible inside source says no G87 Competition.

Oh well… if there was a competition variant it would be auto tragic only like the G80/G82 M3/M4. If you want a manual in the current M3/M4 you have to get the base M3/M4 which all the automotive press raves about because of the manual.

I am certain BMW does not want to encroach on the G80/G82 sales either as I am fairly confident that the base G87 will do a pretty good job of that.

This just keeps getting better and better(sarcasm intended). That would piss me off if they did that. Spend all that money then BMW brings out the comp a year later with more hp and other goodies. But if the comp is auto only then it would not matter anyway.

I mean, isn’t that somewhat expected? It doesn’t say 95% that it’s after a year, but 95% that it’s after a year or more. I would think this is highly likely

Seeing as they stopped doing that with all M comp versions after the M2 (which was more driven by the N55 not passing smog regs) then no it’s not expected.

Since the M2, all comp versions have come at the same time leaving the CS for the end of cycle. So I stand by my statement.

TB? Tanzanite? If so, Nice color… my father has it on his 2023 X3. It is a very dark color, no different that owning a black auto, aka PITA to maintain.
