there is that supreme caveat emptor with those cars because that engine design is far from being the most robust in audi's feeble engine lineup.

I wouldn't touch those with a 50-foot pole. I've heard nothing but horror stories about that engine and the tranny.

lol...Funny people want more than the 330Ci was worth with less mileage and better condition. There are a few in the $23K range.

imo, that is a front wheel drive car (at least it feels like it). I didn't like them. Throw the engine/turbo problems into the mix, and you have an undesireable car.

There are cars more reliable and less expensive than the Audi and not as boring as the Accord. IMHO.

Yeah, but those guys are nuts.

Low to mid $20Ks is reasonable right now.

I briefly considered one as well but ruled it out based on long-term turbo reliability as well.

Hey Sean, what did you end up getting for it, if you don't mind me asking. When I sold mine, I had to wait four months for the right buyer.

the only engine design in recent memory that is as stupidly designed and as fragile is the 3.0 litre Opel v6 co-opted by Saab for asymmetric turbocharging of only a SINGLE bank of cylinders.

i guess the 2.7tt isn't as stupid a priori, but sure is as fragile.
