Right - I hear ya.

Plus... I am waiting for the stars to align on your E39 M5.... No need for BaT.

Almost anyway.
This one is a 2005 S, mine is a 2006 'regular' Carrera.
Wheels are different too - but, overall - real close.

Pretty car if I do say so myself.

FYI - The current bid price is already well over what I paid for mine.
This one has 81k, mine had 85k as I recall (when I got it a few years back).
Just shows BaT is the place to sell a car if you are able.

2005 Carrera S

Interesting, that looks like a full leather interior car but it's not listed in the options on BaT. Or I missed it. Or I'm wrong and it's not a full leather car. But I think I'm right.

And you're right, the price for a non-S will be a lot lower. I'm not a fan of tan interiors, but this car presents well.

Yes, Sand Beige Full Leather is listed on the sticker as an option in the gallery.

That’s a really pretty and distinctive car.

Among 997 and 987's, 2005 is the worst possible year for an engine/IMS issues. The 3.8 might be one of the worst, though it sounds damned good.

BaT tax. That's an insane price for a car that just isn't that good.

Seems like an ideal solution other than the near guarantee of being stranded somewhere when it breaks. I'm also not 100% sure I'd be able to wedge a convertible car seat into those tiny rear buckets. It is nice that the v12 front engine Ferraris don't appear to require regular engine-out service.

Myriad impracticalities aside, that appears to be a ton of car for $51K.

Very tempting. The M cloth interior and the REAL M engine. All import legal as it’s barely past the 25y mark.
