No - it was a ZF 4-speed... and that trans is short.

The Getrag 5-speed transmission that I have going in is longer, so the DL needs to be shortened accordingly (to fit the space left).....

drive lines and angles are fun (not)

When I (well, we, I didn't do this work alone) singled the Volvo not only did I need a new drive shaft fabricated, I also had to rotate (shim) the drive axle as it was no longer connecting to the middle diverter axle.

FYI - Car is still down in Alameda.
All painted
engine in
Trans not in
Interior - some in
Dash - going in presently
Suspension - getting ready
and the story continues...

Been really busy at work and with the new house - so, not much time to post...
