Damn it Clyde!

So after watching all those damn videos, I am now thinking I could start driving the MINI again (which still hasn't sold), sell the M3, and 1) trade the MINI and another 8k for a 300 hp/320ft-lb rear wheel drive Mustang; or 2) drive the MINI for a year and trade it and 13k for a non-first production year model with potentially more horespower and torque options (at additional expense, of course).

The MINI is paid for. The BMW is not.

I don't even LIKE Fords! But I suspect I will go and test drive one now. :awe:

At least your 'problem' is too many performance car options to select!

Sorry.

...but I'm in the same position myself. I wish I had $20k lying around to spend on another vehicle that I don't really need and don't have room for, but I really don't. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to try to drive a stick thanksgiving weekend and figure it out from there.

I have been irritating Cap'n Crunch... err... Morgan with this same issue for about a week now.

There are just too many options that are great choices these days.

What ever happened to only a few years ago in the 90's when you were limited to just 2-3 great cars in the approximately $30k price bracket? (adjusted for inflation, of course)

Life is good for the enthusiast these days. If your problem is that you are having a hard time deciding between the better of some seriously great cars than you probably don't have a lot of room to complain in that aspect of your life

I take great offense to your characterization of my name.

The Cap Autarch

BTW, I just found the Z4 vs. S2000 thread on C&D. It's not often that I agree with Honda fanboys, but what the fuck are Kayani & Co. smokin? I suppose the Z4's nervous steering that's always fighting your hands and the harsh ride make it a better car.

The 2 main camps on the C&D boards are the Hondaphiles and the BMW fans. The Honda fans are definately the more rabid of the two but at this point I don't try to make much sense out of either one of them.

98% of the C&D boards are made up of tools, shills, fanboy teenagers and trolls.

It's the other 2% that actually keeps me posting there.

Hmm, that sounds familiar.

I am seriously close to picking up the phone and telling the guy who is selling the MINI that I want to take it back and give him the M3 to sell.

My real problem is that I am not loving the M3 right now. Usually I go for a test drive in whatever has caught my eye and then I love it again. I am a little nervous this time. The Mustang has 320 ft/lbs and that makes me drool.

Maybe you'll get lucky and not be able to find one to drive?
