If space is the issue. Minivan. Sorry, but that's the absolute ticket and truth. If you *need* a V8 with space, don't dick around and get a Subruban or Escalade.

We did fine with two little ones and a 325xiT for a long time. No power sucked, but whatever. The Armada was awesome and gave me the best of all worlds to take people, crap and/or tow for the time I needed that. The Odyssey hit that spot with so much more practicality after I no longer had to tow, it wasn't funny.

For the big ass stroller, a cargo box on the roof is a great way to do it.

The oddest lesson was renting a Chrysler 300 for the four of us to drive to/from Disney World a few years ago. We packed tons of shit in the back, plenty of room in the car for everyone to be comfy, etc. Need 400+ hp?

Hellcat, motherfucker.

Nothing like a mega cab. Have you been in the back of one of those? It's like a limo. The kids deserve a limo!

Perhaps I should have said "better" or "more comfortable" rather than just "different". It's what I meant.

Sitting on a slightly indented bench that can't adjust for pitch. Feet on floor in front of you. It's pretty similar aside from the ride height and entry/exit. I guess you sit lower in the sedan relative to your knees. But that makes it feel less like sitting on top of the seat and more like sitting in it.

I dunno. I'm rambling. I guess I just don't like SUVs.

How about as adults going out to dinner with other couples .... I feel bad putting another couple in the back of my mid size sedan ...

Fair enough. I don't particularly like SUVs either, but I find that 1) I like them slightly more than minivans, and 2) it's a somewhat necessary evil with 3 tall-ish teenagers (and sometimes their friends). There's just more usable room in every dimension, and less claustrophobic rear-seat seating position, as compared to sedans.
