About to do something very stupid

Today I will be putting a deposit down on an M3 for European delivery.

It's a disturbingly large amount of money to commit to, but my wife is fully on board and I think I just have to scratch the itch and not be so practical. I figured I've "saved" myself north of $30K by finishing my basement myself, so that's my treat and my early 40th present.

I'd love to think I'll keep this car for a long time but who knows. I'm hoping for at least a ZHP-like 6 years.

Specs:
-Sakhir Oragne
-6MT
-Moonroof
-Executive package (ZEC)
-Black leather (included in ZEC)
-Competition package with black wheels.

Managed to get the best deal out of the local dealer, so that makes things easier and should get me nice loaners if needed.

The plan is to also do PC delivery in the US.

Awesome! And very exciting. Now the first of several excruciating waits begin.

VERY COOL. Can't wait to hear your thoughts when it is delivered (Both times).

I'm jealous of the Euro and PC delivery opportunities.

Yeah, that does seem like a pretty dumb idea.

I'm actually a proponent of buying the last of a model year. My 2006 M3C and 2012 328iT were very good, problem-free cars (for as long as I kept them).

That's the best plan. Did that with the M3.
