A tiny amount of turbo lag doesn't bother me either actually. Despite liking manuals, I'm often lazy and don't downshift. Rolling on the throttle and having the power kick in is kind of fun.

Not that I have ever owned any cars with any actual power.

Well I was lucky to get 15mpg with that v8 with no torque

I got 13mpg on the 987S and the 997TT and get 18mpg on the Miata.
