Oh... I had to check AZ's electric generation stats because of this. Coal is still #1 here (as of 2010...). Maybe the plate does fit!
Here's the AZ sources of electricity -- #s are percents: 2000 2010 Coal 46.1 39.1 Petroleum 0.2 0.1 Natural Gas 9.8 26.6 Nuclear 34.2 27.9 Hydroelectric 9.4 5.9 Other Renewables1 * 0.3 Pumped Storage 0.3 0.2 I was a bit surprised that hydro dropped. But then I remembered that SRP (Salt River Project -- one of the utilities in the Phoenix area) shut down all of their micro hydro plants -- they used to have a complex flume system to put hydro on relatively small streams. Most dated to the 20s and I'm guessing were becoming a maintenance nightmare. Hydro is also likely impacted by the drought -- and many of the lakes around here are way below 50% capacity... Also interesting was that Nuclear dropped -- but looking at the raw numbers, total power generated by Nuclear was up slightly. The mix impact was due to growth in the area, while we still only have one Nuclear plant...

Don't ruin it for me. In my mind its the first exciting car she's ever driven and she's enjoying it.
I don't want to have to think that she's married to the guy that has PP DOC...
