so Clyde --is going from rear wheel driver (RX8 and MX5) --is it just a new sensation that you do not mind? is it something you will tolerate? is it a non issue for you?

just curious as to your feelings on this because you're doing a transition, with experience at limits of adhesion, which would be insightful.

At this point, I am still digging this car quite a bit and generally growing happier and happier to have it.

The FWDness has some parts that bug me, particularly torque steer sensations when punching it to shoot a gap in traffic over rough/broken pavement. I don't see this becoming a real problem, just something that needs a little more adjustment or familiarity. Steering when on power is not like RWD or good AWD. It's much less pleasant.

Dynamically, no issues, but the complete inability to do proper donuts or induce power oversteer is what it is. OTOH, it feels very much like a very well balanced and neutral RWD car that has infinite rear grip when on the power.

As far as FWD goes, this is the shit.

This is kind of interesting: 750 Focus STs sold in US through Jan 25, almost 550 of them ST3 package cars, according to Ford's NA ST brand manager.

http://triblive.com/mobile/m/mbusine...s-ford-percent

OTOH, cars.com shows 1,659 Focus ST listings right now.

I really do think we need to get together and do a brief car swap. You have me curious.

Seems to be much disbelief over those numbers, so who knows...
