Clyde, just curious, what are the yellow and red line of that engine?

I think my wife and I witnessed a "money downshift" last night from a guy screwing up coming to a stop at a red light. We were already stopped in the right lane, saw him coming in hot in my door mirror. Sounded horrible and sounded like way too many rpms. Sounded like he put it in 1st trying to slow down.

Light turned green, he tried to start off, again sounded terrible and he pulled over into the breakdown lane behind us with 4 ways turned on. Wife even commented that something sounded wrong, and she isn't much of a car person.

I think it's a 7k redline.

Sounds like a bad day for that guy.

The Camaro is stock. The Clyde has recent weight-reduction mods.

I appreciate that he coordinated his outfit to the car.

Ha ha I thought at first it had some sort of extravagant red intake and then realized that was the right fender.

Well and the coolant in its reservoir is bright pink, which creates an odd visual effect.

The car itself seems great. It drives wonderfully, at the low speeds at which I sampled it. The seats are excellent. I'm not a huge fan of alcantara steering wheels for street cars, but it's got a nice feel and isn't bus-sized like the Boxster's steering wheel. Brakes are a little grabby but they might still be wearing in. Did I mention how good the seats are?

I came away wanting one of my own more than I did before I had driven it.
