I have to admit that while I like the 507 a lot, it's hard for me to imagine buying a car from that era and in that price class that isn't the 300SL roadster.

Not that I can afford either of them.

Edit: Still kicking myself for not buying a 190SL project when they were "affordable."

Yeah was she short shifting it? Engine didn’t sound or rev that exciting. Yeah old engine so maybe expected

Remember that:
a) this is a 150hp engine.
b) engine revs are, uh, mechanically limited. you don't really want to rev it out.

EDIT: My one quibble with those neo-Fuchs is that the front offset looks weird.
