1G racing Noble on the road.

just saw one on the highway on my commute to work.

at first it was waaaaaaaaay behind me and the first glimpse i got excited because i thought it was a saleen s7r.....then as traffic compacted, i could tell it was a noble.

it got off before me, but the build quality and paint looks really good.

i wonder why no one here hasn't bought one already?

Pricey, useless, and plasticky.

I got to look at one up close at a Ferrari track day. (Would you believe the guy wasn't even runnign it?)

Because not many of us can afford a $80K+ car at all, nevermind an $80K kit car with no warranty. I rather get a GT3.

I'd have to have 5+ cars and positively absurd amounts of cash to consider a Noble.

...but that's just me.

It is REALLY awesome though.

i sure forgot how much those cars cost. i thought it was more like $45k or something plus $10k for the engine.

80k is a bit much. you are right. at that point a world of options open up at that pricepoint. CPO 993tt, 996tt, F355, new viper, etc.

it sure looks great out on the road, though.

For that price I'd rather get an Ultima GTR.

0-100 mph = 5.5 sec
0-60 mph = 2.7 sec

950kg dry weight (200 kg less than McLaren F1)

And sexy as hell.

Powered by Chevy V8 mated to a Porsche transaxle with a chassis designed to handle up to 1000 hp. Read where one guy was building a twin-turbo charged V8 version (one turbo per bank of cylinders).

Their production version comes with a 6.3L V8 developing 640 bhp but you can order an engine with up to 720 bhp. Oh, and the engines will safely spin up to a 7,600 rpm redline.

Buy a rolling chassis that only needs an engine/transaxle or build one yourself in kit form and shave $30k off the price.

Did I mention it's is road legal in the States and will hit 231 mph (gearing limited)
