Best radar detector

I get nervous with the doing the hard wire that I will do something wrong and short out my car ... I've never done anything like that before though today after trying out the detector I found the wire was really annoying, my car has the cigarette lighter under the center armrest so it is really inconveniently placed.

Meanwhile I gave it to my friend who is taking a long trip tonight and I asked him to let me know how it works.

He is going to be on the taconic pkwy as part of his trip so I am looking forward to seeing what he tells me.
