It looks great! Keep us posted on the Trim Restore. I have been meaning to purchase some.

Curious... I remember pulling headlights completely off the e39 and did not need to remove bumper, am I misremembering?

Very cool on the work and glad that you must be feeling better.

Still some fatigue and cough but mostly OK. This is pretty low energy stuff and I went slowly.

One of the “features” of the LCI E53 is that they went to the big wraparound bumper that goes all the way up to the lights, rather than having the painted trim piece below, like the E39. Reportedly if you don’t have headlight washers, it’s kind of possible to kludge it out, but not if you do.

Good to hear. I have had some friends with breakthrough infections, and the consensus seems to be lingering fatigue and exercise intolerance or unusual fatigue after exercise.

I have been told that there is some indication that taking it easy for 6 weeks or so post infection reduces the risk of long covid. So… That’s easy enough to do and I’ll try to do it.

Monday or Tuesday I machine polished a tail light and that left me literally trembling with exhaustion.

It’s survived a couple exposures to rain so far. It was also incredibly easy to apply. My suspicion is that it’ll be extremely durable on a garaged car.

I will say that I have really appreciated the Milwaukee right angle impact in this job. I've been kind of down on it because it's ergonomically pretty compromised - too big to get where I want it to go a lot of the time, and not quite powerful enough a lot of the time. But for *this* job it's been great.

Bizarre. I've always heard the BMW cooling system mantra as "replace everything between the engine block casting and the front bumper".
