You probably won't. The n54 is the only one with really bad carbon buildup. They made some changes from the n55 on that minimize it. Fwiw people see pretty decent bud up around 50k-75k miles on the n54. We did ours on the wagon somewhere between 80 and 90 and saw a decent improvement

I DEFINITELY feel a difference. Like, a dramatic difference.

It’s much more eager to get to high revs now, and sings a less strained note when it’s up there. I swear the transition from low revs into boost range is smoother now too, and when putting my foot in it from low revs in a high gear, say moving to execute a highway pass in fifth or sixth without downshifting, summoning the twist to get it moving feels much more effortless. Also just feels smoother and more responsive throughout the range.

I was prepared for nuance but got a loud profanity.

Forcing myself to put a number on it, I’d guess it feels like it got 30 horses back.

Seriously awesome.

The PS4Ss are great too. Amazing how much better tires are getting with each generation. The PS2s this car shipped with were really fantastic at the time, but the PSSs and now the PS4Ss I’ve put on successively have each significantly eclipsed the previous set in terms of both comfort and stickiness.

Good stuff.

Mike’s N55 has terrible build up at 36k.

The original comment of "you probably won't" was meant for wdc... She was asking about her 240 with a b58 engine. I was attempting to say the n54 has the quickest / worst carbon build up of those engines.

Fwiw we noticed a decent improvement in our n54 powered wagon after blasting

Oh sorry. This thread has morphed into a vortex of confusion. I blame myself and Tapatalk lol

That should give you peace of mind after seeing the before and after photos? I'm glad you are still enjoying the 1M. They do seem like such awesome cars.
