Congrats! Does that mean the Cayman and the wagon are both gone? I can't keep up.

Yeah I have a nema 14-50 outlet installed (240v, 50 amp). It'll charge the car easily during the 7 hour window I have at night with cheap electricity

Heh.

I may question many things about this purchase... But that won't be one of them.

Well Tesla sent me two rear license plate mounts instead of a front.

So service hooked my up by mounting the front plate... Off center.

Had to decide what will bother my OCD more. A slightly off center plate, or having grease monkeys try to rip it off and reinstall it without damaging the paint.

I sent it back.

Sent it back? So you didn't take delivery?

They didn't mount my front plate. I have the holder in the trunk. Not sure how I am going to center it when the time comes to put it on.

I like the grey. Weirdly I haven't seen too many in that color.

When I got the Camaro, they did not mount the front bracket. I spent a couple weeks driving without...and without any kind of real title or registration stuff. Couldn't deal with the stress that came from it, so I bought a pop rivet gun and put it on myself. If that tool would help either of you, let me know

No no, I told them to take it back into the shop, remove it, and center it.

They fixed it nicely. The car looks like shit with a NY State front plate, but whatever.

I used 3M sticky tape on the VW's bracket 18 months ago, and so far so good. I think it will be fine on the Tesla's.

Congrats!

I stopped by the body shop, so have an update on mine… Its been in the shop for 3 weeks now. Most of the parts are in. They are still waiting on a rear quarter panel before they can start work. There are a few other parts (like the rear bumper cover) to come in also... Once work starts, repairs will take about 3 weeks.

So here's the zinger… The body shop said that Tesla is "getting better" at getting parts in. But he's also had another 3 in the shop since May that is still waiting for a rear quarter panel (this one was rear ended when it was 4 days old…).

I need to check in with insurance. I can't keep driving this Fusion...
