Sounds like a manual SUV would be perfect but those are super rare. If you could find on this might be perfect:
https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cul...nual-for-sale/ But even if you could find one, you'd be buying a 10 year old German car lots of miles on it. Maybe lease the 340 so you have a built-in out in 3 years? |

I don't think there are manual 340 leases available. Isn't the new generation, no manual 3-series already in production?

https://forums.edmunds.com/discussio...and-prices/p62 For a 340 xdrive, 36/12 lease the Feb numbers are: .00188 and 60% $4000 lease credit That might actually lease decently if you can find one EDIT: Found one in PA: https://www.sewickleybmw.com/new/BMW...fb29977baf.htm Last edited by robg; 02-19-2019 at 05:53 PM. |

That's a nice car--but 62K? Jesus, that's quite a sticker for a non-M 3. |

That doesn't have the "track handling package". Stupid name, but the suspension is necessary for the xdrive (and probably the rwd). I'd say it's as different as a ZHP was from a non-sport 325i.

Track handling package cars have blue brakes (silly) and no fog lights (also silly as I somehow like fog lights). However, the drive is sweet. |

That's too bad you didn't bond with the Macan. If you're not loving it the answer is certainly to get rid of it.
I don't really buy this is going to save you any money though. By the time you take the hit of the swaps, and replace them with a new-ish vehicle in the fat part of the depreciation curve. But that doesn't mean it's a bad plan. Consolidating feels good. Question is... Will the 340 last long enough to be worth it? |

The first road test was extremely promising. Sure I'll try to lower (not even minimize) my losses, but it is what it is. I keep buying these SUV's and it keeps not working out. In reality, I don't really need them other than a few times a year.
I will say I'm not a huge fan of the v6. Maybe as a turbodiesel it's ok, I actually liked it in the JGC and the pre-fix Cayennes. But I haven't driven a gas v6 that I like as much as the inline or the flat 6's. |
