MINI owners: key programming?

Did you get free key programming from your dealer? Preferences like DRL's on/off, auto-locking feature, etc?

My salesperson is playing dumb, saying that "it can probably be done, but they'd have to charge me for it".

I was not offered key programming. I didn't know there was a drl option and the autolock sort of feels like it operates on a vacuum system. For example, if you unlock the doors, they will lock again after the next stoplight.

Hmm, maybe that is programmable. Anyway, the salesman never mentioned key programming.
