Oh not to mention also possibly buying a house or spending $100,000ish to renovate a house to accomodate 5 people in the next year or 2

Two routes, assuming car supply which is iffy at the moment, IMO

1. Lease a GTI or A4

2. Preowned E300 or 530 since they depreciate like rocks. But are immensely nice vehicles.

Or lease the Mazda...

Yikes. Houses. That's definitely where all my disposable income has been going.

definitely no on option 2.

I've never leased a car but it's probably something I should consider. I'll just need sarafil or somebody else to explain what I need to look for there

As for the GTI, 2018 and 2019 have 6 year/72k warranties if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Leasing VWs has never made much sense to me, financially, since their programs always seemed to be pretty terrible.

Audis had pretty favorable programs at one point way back in the day, but I don't know if that's still true.

Used Kia Stinger GT? If you don't mind an auto that might be a decent buy.

I was also about to recommend a Stinger... Might even be able to find a lower mileage used one for close to $30k...

This is a decent source for leasing info: https://forum.leasehackr.com/

(And maybe JST should buy your 135 )

Edit: I see also a recommendation for Edmunds for Leasing 101. I, personally, have never done it.
