Yeah, I'll use it for the occasional trip, potentially to places with no cell service.

Here's a '21 Cayman GTS 4.0 that went for 108 (plus 5K buyer's premium):

I really can't fathom wanting to have a factory nav system.

I used to in the RX-8 and Armada days. The limited functionality while moving in the Armada really soured me. I also really preferred the built in look. But then everyone started mounting tablets to dashes, so there that went. Once Carplay/Android Auto became viable, the idea of locking into a car's non-upgradable hardware seemed silly for anything I might want to keep for more than a couple years. Paying a hundred bucks or more every year (or every few years) for updated maps is kinda cheesy, too.

The Camaro has it, but I haven't done more than just barely play with it. It puts the next turn direction into the HUD (and I think you can set it to have the next turn in the instrument panel), which I guess is cool. I'm sure there are more thorough integrations in some cars than I've experienced, too (and will be more in the future). I understand wanting the ability to use nav without cell service, but all the major map apps download your route info when you set the route and you wouldn't even know that you've lost service if you weren't looking at the service bars indicator. OTOH, if your route terminates where there's no service or the app crashes, you may not get routing until you regain service. The last time this happened to me was summer 2019 near Yellowstone, but it's seriously not a big deal. We all got fine without GPS mapping until 10-15 years ago.

It's not something I can see myself specifying again without some kind of significant value add, but I don't mind having whatever boost the Camaro's nav will give me at resale. I'd rather have gotten the car for ~$500 less, though.

I have seriously gotten disoriented in the Blue Ridge in Georgia and Virginia without cell service. A Rand McNally Road Atlas in the trunk would help with that. Or perhaps there’s a download of it now…

My issue with CarPlay isn’t so much the nav, which is fine; it’s the way it buries all the other functions behind Apple’s OS. And also, I’ve found it very tricky to use if more than one person in the car wants to play their music through the car stereo. Maybe that depends on the car?

In any event, CarPlay is nice to have in rental cars, but for my own vehicle I prefer the more integrated approach.

Is it worth 2 grand? No, probably not. But it’s one of those things that would kind of annoy me every time I drove the car, so maybe it actually is.

With most newer cars it’s easy enough to listen to music off of usb or Bluetooth connected phone while using carplay for Navigation from a different phone. My wife and I often do this on trips. Atleast on the cars I’ve tried it on, you still hear the turn by turn directions even if another device is selected as the media source. I sometimes prefer using built in nav since the directions/map can be displayed in the cluster or hud. Another feature I like is when still have access to buttons or icons for the various parts of the system even with carplay on - makes it easier to jump in and out of necessary.

But yeah, at this price point you don’t want to have regrets so …

That's a lot of red.

I actually like the exterior interior combo, maybe with a bit more moderation, though.

This is probably the worst value in all of this, and the thing I'd cut if I wanted to add in fancier paint or something. But I use the maps enough in the BMW that I think I'd miss it.
How much is Porsche Entry and Drive (comfort access) as a stand alone option? Of the premium packages that is the one feature you would probably miss most. Having to pull the key out of your pocket with a bunch of stuff in your hands (like your work bag) can be a reoccurring minor hassle that irritates more and more over time. Especially if your other cars have it.
