My plan was/is to make the 19s winter tires and look for a set of the sweet 469M 20s, but man they are expensive on the secondary market. Hmm.

Congrats!

My son & I did Performance Center Delivery at the first of June to acquire our '17 X5 xDrive35i M Sport w/ 20" wheels. Our first X5, but I have had plenty of seat time in the five my parents have owned over the years. Two E53s, two E70s (6 cly & V8), and one F85. The V8 X5s are stupid quick given the size & weight.

The power really is insane, though. I was used to the 400hp in the e70 and this thing just feels WAY faster all through the RPM range.

I love the current X5s.

Hey, congrats! In retrospect, we should have bought your model. Now that we have the Boxster S and the 240i, the X5 sits in the garage 6 days out of 7.

Thought of you when I ran across this ad for a Topaz Z3: https://www.bmwcca.org/ads/156496

It has very low miles, is a 3.0 engine. But they want a lot of $$ for it, considering no info about the condition of its subframe.

Do you still have yours?

I think it looks great on the 19's. I wouldn't go out of my for 20's but I don't have that car as a daily either.

Nice stable you currently have!

Yes, we still have the Topaz Z3. Ours is also a M54B30, but equipped with sport pkg and nearly 82,000 miles. Out of the five BMWs currently in our stable it is still the only one that puts the largest grin on my face.
